What If No One Ever Told YOU?

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! Psalm 96:3

Each of us heard the good news of forgiveness for sin from someone, at some point. We in the First World are very fortunate in this regard. The truth of the gospel is so accessible to every one of us. But that is not the case for almost 3 billion people in other parts of the world. Have you ever considered what life would look like if you had never heard? The actions we take will have a huge impact on the eternal future of so many.

Over the next few weeks I would like to offer some thoughts dealing with the topic of missions. We will look at what missions is and is not, the Great Commission, the motivation for making disciples of all nations, and what a disciple is. We will discuss the imbalance of where the efforts and money of the evangelical church are being spent and how we can help correct that. We will consider the implications for us not completing this assignment given us by Christ. We will point out the need for many of us to pack up and move to remote parts of the world to share the love of Christ with those who have never heard about it. Yes, that IS what I just said.

And we will take a brief look at the 5 countries and people groups our Missions Team is sensing God steering us to focus on as a church. Please stay tuned.
