Wasted Time
Do you have a plan for your time?
“I am just going to play one game, read one email, surf the web for a minute, watch one cute kitten/dog video…….” then you realize one hour is gone and what you were supposed to be doing didn’t get done.
Our time is like our money; if we don’t tell it what to do and what it will be spent on, it will grow wings and fly away. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like free time as much as the next person, but here is something I have learned: if I don’t set up and live by a timeline of some sort all my time will disappear. So I have gotten into the habit over the past years of doing all of the important things first thing in the day, and if there is time left, I am free to use it however. What are the important things, you ask? Time with God, time with my wife, time with my kids, my close relationships, and work. I have found that Satan wants to rob me of the things that are most important and replace them with things that are empty and lack meaning.
Where is your time going? Any idea? Maybe it is time to start keeping track.
