Vision

“Now, as you can see, the Lord has kept me (Caleb) alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise–even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me.”

Vision is the ability to see beyond what is to what could be.

I love this passage of scripture, because Caleb waited forty-five years for the completion of the vision that the Lord had given Him. He did not get discouraged, he did not lose hope. He knew that what God puts before us, God will complete.

Time, circumstances, lack of resources, and opposition will not stop God’s vision for his church and his Kingdom from being completed. Isn’t it great to be part of vision like that?
