Trust

“TRUST ME!!!!!”

These are words that are spoken by so many in very different circumstances. A parent to a child, a teacher to a student, a doctor to a patient, a husband to wife or wife to husband, a business person to their costumer, or a promise made between friends. I find it interesting that we only really trust when we feel like we are in control of the situation, but when events are out of our control or beyond our expertise we tend to lack trust. We often think that no one else is looking out for us or really cares about what happens to us, so we don’t trust. Often we say that trust is earned, and it is–as we interact with others and they prove themselves to be there for us we let them closer and give more of ourselves to them. There are often a few people in each of our lives that we would trust with our lives; we know that no matter what they will be there and they have our back. That is the promise of God to us, “I will never leave you or abandon you; you can trust me.”

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.  In all your ways know Him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Have you tried trusting Him completely? Have you given him all your ways?

Try trusting Him. I know from experience you can trust him. He cares for you more than you care for yourself. He controls all things, and everything is under his authority. Who better to trust?
Give it a try and see what happens; you’ll be glad you did.
