Trust
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 CSB
I woke up this morning thinking about these verses. Have you ever had that happen to you? As you wake up a verse or a song is running loops in your head? Well, this morning as the birds were singing me awake I found myself quoting this verse over and over at least 20-30 times. What a great truth to be reminded of first thing in the morning. “Trust in the Lord.” As we start our day let’s remember to trust God; He did create us and the day before us, and He has never failed at anything. I think we can trust that He will always do what is best for us. Let’s not “rely on ourselves,” instead let’s seek the knowledge and wisdom of God today. Why not go to His Word and ask Him to infuse us with truth so we understand His ways. “In all our ways know Him.” Let’s ask Him to reveal Himself in every situation we face today, at home, work, school, play, and in our alone time. The result of our complete reliance on Him is a “straight path,” or in other words, a day designed by Him.
Why not join me trusting God with the whole day? Let’s see where He leads us and what He does through us.
