Sacrifice

The world we live in today tells us that the higher we go as a leader the greater the pay, the greater the power and the more perks we can expect. Sadly this is often how the corporate world has worked.

Leadership from God’s perspective is much different. Gods says the greater the position the greater the sacrifice, and he showed us how this works through His son. Think of this, the greatest person to walk the face of this earth was God in human form, Jesus. The greatest leader made the greatest sacrifice. He payed the ultimate price for those he led. His Life. People are still responding to his sacrifice today. Still following.

Are you a leader at work, in your home, as a volunteer? Are you hoping to get to that position where people notice you and realize your leadership ability? If the answer is yes, then sacrifice. Make the big sacrifices for those you lead, put their needs above your own, make sure they win and are able to do their best. Give them opportunities to shine, give away the credit. If you are willing to make the sacrifices, you will end up leading people places you never dreamed of going, and the results will way outlast you. Lives changed, families restored, communities reborn and Christ’s name glorified. Now that is something worth sacrificing for.
