Last week I talked to the parents and grandparents; this week I want to talk to the young folks. Now, what I have to say applies to all of us, so those of you with a little age please don’t check out. Last week we looked at the fact that living with integrity brings happiness to the next generation. This week we need to talk about integrity again. Once again it is the words of Solomon that we are looking at. “Even a young man is known by his actions — by whether his behavior is pure and upright” Proverbs 20:11 CSB. You see, all of us young and old are being watched, what we do each day, how we respond and react. Our actions and reactions tell the story of where we have placed our faith, and our faith is not determined by our age but by where we have placed our trust. If we have placed our trust in things and other people, then our responses will be determined by things and other people. If we have placed our trust in God, then our responses will be determined by the character and person of God. People will see where my trust is placed by how I am responding to life. So, young person and older person alike. what have your actions been saying about you? Have they been pure and upright? Are they telling those watching that your faith and trust are solidly placed in God? If someone is only watching your actions would they see God?
