Renew

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 CSB

Sometimes as Christ followers who are leaders, we forget who we really are, that we have been reborn, recreated, made new by the Spirit. We will often get caught up in who we were. The events and experiences that shaped us seem to hold control over us.

What does it mean to be a new creation? Well, the Word of God tells us that we have a new master, a new mission and new resources. Being renewed means that we allow the Spirit of God to do the work of God in us and through us.

Are you allowing the one who renewed you to control you? Or have you forgotten the new creation that God has made you ?
