Remember People

Which do you care more about, the success of the ministry/job you are involved in, or the the people you are living life with?

Now don’t answer too quickly–often we can figure out ways to explain how we care for the people we are living life with, but the truth is found in what we do. We can say that we care more about people, but if we are quick to sacrifice relationships for the good of the project or if we are more concerned about the event happening than about the people involved being healthy, then people are not our main concern. As leaders who are Christ-followers we are called to lead with the same heart and passion of our boss, Christ. His whole life was about restoring mankind into a right relationship with their Creator. We have been restored, made new, placed in right standing with God through Christ. We have the Holy Spirit living in us to give us the ability to see and treat people the way Jesus would, but we have to listen to His leading and then follow through.
So what are your actions saying about you? People or project?

John 3:16
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” CSB
