Refresh

I know that most of you who are reading this have a cell phone, and you have probably had troubles with the phone not working correctly, dropping calls, or refusing to send and receive texts/emails. We are told that the answer to these struggles is to refresh the phone. We do this by shutting it off and restarting it, allowing it to refresh itself.

Did you realize that you can refresh your relationship with Christ? We don’t have to shut ourselves off; it’s easier than that. The Holy Spirit stands before God and prays for us. Romans 8:26 “ In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unspoken groaning.” The Holy Spirit is our personal refresh switch. It is the desire of God that we be refreshed, and He knows that we don’t even know how to ask for what we need. But the Spirit knows what we need and how to ask for it, on our behalf. As Christ-followers we get caught up thinking we know what we need and how to get it when we really don’t have a clue. Instead of thinking you have it all figured out today, why not let the Spirit refresh your mind and heart? Trust Him, He knows what you need from God right now.
