Opportunities

How many opportunities do you have in front of you right now? How many of them are real? How many are leading you in the direction that you know you should be going?

When I think about these questions Jeremiah 29: 11-14 comes to mind. God says “I know the plans I have for you…Plans for your well being… to give you a hope and a future…” God knows you inside and out. He should, He created you. He knows what makes you tick, He knows how you think and why you do the things you do. If He knows all of this about you don’t you think He knows the opportunities that are best for you as well? His promise in these verses is that He will provide for our well being, He will bring us hope and He will create a future for us. But there is a stipulation for these events to happen. At the end of these verses God says “When you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you.” In order for God to offer us opportunities that will change our future we must seek Him. To “search” does not mean He is hidden; it means I need to lift my heart and eyes from looking at myself to look at Him. It is my own selfishness that blinds me from seeing Him and all that He has in store for me. It is also that inward selfish look that keeps me from seeing the opportunities that He is presenting.

Are you looking to God for your opportunities? Or are you trying to make them for yourself?
He has a plan for you. Look to Him, and He will lead you in the right path.
