One Way

“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

The message of salvation is really very simple. Let me refresh your memory. We as human beings were all born with a sin problem. (“When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” Romans 5:12 NLT) That sin in us has broken our relationship with God. There is nothing that I can do to restore that relationship. Someone who is and was perfect had to pay the price for my sin and only one person is qualified to complete that task–Jesus. So, God who loved me more than I could ever understand, sent his son Jesus to the cross to pay the price I could not pay. When I admit my sin, repent, and ask for God to forgive me, he will, because Jesus already paid the price for my forgiveness. It is simple but hard. Simple in that the work has been done for us by Jesus. Hard when we realize that Jesus is the only way to God, and we need Jesus to take us to God. We often want to come up with our own solutions, something that we can do that would make God have to accept us. No matter how much we do or how hard we try God has set a standard and his way is the only way, his son Jesus.
Have you realized your need of forgiveness and accepted what Jesus has done for you? If not, don’t wait; talk to God now about your need. If you have a relationship with Jesus, are you telling others about your new life? Are you giving away the hope and life that was given to you?
