Morning in Turkey

I was awakened this morning at 4:20 by the call to prayer from a nearby mosque. It is completely dark outside, a reminder of the spiritual condition in this country. Ninety-nine percent of the people here are Muslims, walking in darkness, but the light is beginning to dawn. We have met many of the workers for the Kingdom here–probably a couple of dozen of them. They are gems. Very ordinary people who follow Christ and have chosen to give up normal life in the US to invest for God’s kingdom. Their presence and witness here is making possible eternal life for the Turkish people. It really is not that much different making Christ known here than it is in the US. These people are not familiar with a loving God. A large percentage of the people here have been abused as children. We have a message of hope to deliver to them. We have such a loving God to introduce to them. Please pray for the country of Turkey and for our brothers and sisters serving Christ here. Please ask the Lord if there is a part you can play in making Christ known here. We can invest our lives in the greatest cause of all.
