Misunderstood

Have you ever been at a place in your life where even though you tried really hard to be clear, you were completely misunderstood?

As a leader, being misunderstood is one of the things we have to be willing to live with. There will be a large number of things that you will need to do as leader that people will not fully understand, and sometimes no amount of explanation will change their minds. Coming to the place where you can trust that God has got your back, and that he knows the motivation of your heart, is the only way to truly be okay with being misunderstood.

Whenever I think about dealing and living with misunderstanding, Nehemiah’s prayer comes to mind. “Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for its service.” Nehemiah 13:14 NKJV

Remember, God never misunderstands us.
