Just Be Thankful

 I Thessalonians 5:18
“….give thanks in everything: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” CSB

It is such a small thing, to take a moment and either say “Thanks” or be thankful to God . Yet we seem to miss the opportunity. I think that those of us who are leaders can be the worst at being thankful. We get so wrapped up in all that must be accomplished, all the details that we need to see to, that we miss one of the easiest forms of encouragement, thankfulness. Thankfulness is an awareness of what has happened, the effort and energy that has already been expended for the benefit of the project. It is stopping long enough to realize that your people are engaged and putting in an effort to make your team succeed. Being thankful brings you back to what is important–others. So, let me say, to all of you who are part of the team here at Moss Brook Church, Thank you. I appreciate everything that you do each week. Thanks for being willing to be used by God and for making a difference in the Oxford Hills for the glory of God.
If you are leading a team, just a friendly reminder one leader to another, take a minute today and say “Thank You!”
