Jesus In Flesh and Blood

“Because God’s children are human beings- made of flesh and blood- the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” Hebrews 2:14-15

Just think: Jesus, ultimately God, the Creator of humanity, was born as a baby into our world. The God who spoke our world into being had to learn to speak, He had to learn to walk. He grew up just like we’ve grown up. He knows what we face every day. He knows the power of sin, the evil grip Satan has on this world, because He lived here once.

Our God is a relatable God. He understands what we go through on a day-to-day basis. And because He knows the sin of this world, He offers us forgiveness. He knows we can’t be perfect, so He gives us second chances, and then third chances, and then fourth. He knows. And because Jesus rose from the grave, we can die to ourselves and be raised with Him. Because Christ died, our sins can be wiped away. Because He LIVES, we can live anew in Him. He is risen! Hallelujah!
