How To Love the Church

Have you ever asked yourself the question, “How do I love the Church?” It is a great question. Do I just show up on Sunday or whenever the doors are open? Do I give money? Do I serve in a ministry? Join a small group? Quit my job and become a church planter? Maybe all of the above, but just doing any one or all of those things doesn’t show you love Christ’s church. You see, the church is made up of those who are Christ-followers. Those who have accepted the payment for their sin by Christ’s sacrifice for us. We, the disciples of Christ, make up the church, so if you want to love the church then love His people. This may seem rather simplistic, and really it is. Ask God to give you love for people, and you will be loving the church. Now, that will more than likely lead you to involvement in ministry, a small group, giving time and money and attending church. But all of those events need to be driven from a love for Christ and His people.
