Luke 6:45 CSB
A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.

Want to figure out what is really in your heart? Listen to yourself talk. Listen to all of your conversations this week. Go ahead. Even take a few notes. See what is really embedded in your heart. We are really good at telling ourselves things about ourselves that aren’t true, and what we tell ourselves we eventually believe. We may tell ourselves that we care for others and we want the best for them, but our conversation is hurtful and demeaning. We may say we are an encouragement, but our words are thoughtless and harsh. We may think we are speaking truth when really we are just being critical .

If you look, what will you find in your heart? Maybe you already know what is in there, and it is not good. Well, I have good news; God is in the business of changing hearts. In Ezekiel 11:19 God says “I will give them integrity of heart and put a new spirit within them…” CSB. Hebrews 8:10 “…I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts.”

God wants to place His goodness deep in your heart so that as you talk to and live life with others it will be God that they see and experience.
