Be Consistent

Hard!  Tiring!  Difficult!  Painful!  Discouraging!  Fulfilling!  Rewarding!  Beneficial!  Worthwhile!  Motivating!

All of these words describe what it is like to be consistent. Sometimes when we stop and think about the effort it takes and the daily grind of being consistent we want to throw in the towel, just give up. Far too often in our personal lives that is what we do. We hit a rough patch in our follow-through or lack of follow-through, and we quit. What we really need to do is power through. Every time we push on, keep going, we set a new ceiling of growth. We tell ourselves, “I am capable, I can do it, I have what it takes.” When we are willing to do that in our personal lives it bleeds over into our leadership. The people we are leading see our response and are encouraged to respond in kind. Being willing to power through, to keep at it, gives those following us permission and the will to do the same. Often, all others need is an example to follow. “If they can do it, so can I” becomes their thought process.
Are you willing to take the challenge to be consistent? To be one of the people who chooses on the front side to be an example, to stick with it, to finish?

I know you can!
