Are You a Great Manager?
“It is required that managers be found faithful.” I Corinthians 4:2
Last week in my blog I talked about the fact that as Christ followers God is really our boss and what that means for how we live out each day. If He is really my boss that means I am an employee or a manager for Him. That means that each and every day I am on His clock. So all of the time, energy, skill, money, intellect that I have is His and I am to use it for His benefit. This thought has led me to ask myself this question, “How faithful have I been as one of his managers? Am I wasting the time he has given me? Am I being faithful with the resources he has entrusted to my care? Or have I become lazy and unproductive? Am I being wasteful with his resources? Some of my answers I like and feel pretty good about, but there are a few areas where I certainly could do better. As I write this I am making sure that I don’t leave those areas unchecked, and I am making a plan to change to be more faithful. How about you? Stop and ask yourself a few of the questions above. How well have you been doing as one of God’s managers? Are there a few spots that you could tighten up? Remember, God is not asking us to do the impossible; he is asking us to be faithful with what we have been entrusted with. He will do the rest.
