A Godly Attitude Matters

This is not a pep talk or a pick-up-your-own-bootstraps talk. What I hope to help you remember is that your attitude has a huge impact on how you view and live out your life each day. Jesus says it this way in the gospel of Luke 6:45 “A good person produces good out of the good stored in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.” Our attitude is a product of what is in our hearts. So if you are spending your internal quiet time thinking about the negative and all of the problems that are consuming you, then that will be reflected in your attitude. You will be quick to point out all the things around you that are wrong and all the ways that others are failing you. But if you are spending your internal quiet time reflecting on the grace, joy, and faithfulness of God, then your attitude will reflect the grace, joy, and faithfulness of God. You will begin to see the good in others and the good that is taking place around you.
So, what are you allowing to have an impact on your attitude? If you are not sure, spend a few moments listening to your conversations with others, it will become very clear.
